Building a Legacy
"You have to really love your people to get the most out of them." - Coach John Wooden

Head Coach Robyn Wallace

Coach Robyn Wallace has been with the Mustangs for 4 seasons. She led the Mustangs to the State Tournament in 2020 & 2021. The Mustangs finished the 2021 season as State Finalist, this was after their historic finish as State Semifinalist in 2020. The Mustangs also won the Region 1 Championship back-to-back under her leadership. Coach Wallace has led the Grapevine Volleyball program to numerous regional tournament appearances, district championships, and playoff appearances. Wallace was also recognized as the 2021 & 2020 Star Telegram Coach of the Year. She is proud to lead and work with the Mustangs to create such an amazing volleyball experience.

Coach Wallace played volleyball at Tarleton State University. She grew up in a small north Texas town, Iowa Park, Texas. She played volleyball, basketball, ran track and played softball in high school. She is the daughter of two retired teachers. Her dad is a retired school administrator and her mom is a retired high school theater arts teacher. Coach Wallace's older brother is the Defensive Coordinator at 5A Rider HS.

Coach Wallace and her son, Jackson, live in Grapevine. Jackson attends Heritage Elementary (GO EAGLES!) and is a fiery seven year old ball of energy, who just so happens to love volleyball (and all other sports with a ball.) Chances are you've seen them playing at Dove Park!

A few words from Coach Wallace:
Dear Mustangs,
I am so grateful for the opportunity to coach at Grapevine. Thank you so much for sharing your athletes with me. As a parent, I know that I hold your biggest blessing (or one of them) in my hands everyday. I will do my best to grow your athlete into the very best person she/he can be everyday. I love kids and athletics. My goal for your athlete is to instill a solid foundation of character and work ethic through volleyball. My hope is that when your daughter or son finishes their time with Mustang Volleyball, they will know that they can achieve any goal they sets for themselves. Thank you again for sharing your athletes with me. I promise not to waste the opportunity to grow them into fierce young people.
