Join us MAY 9th for The Vine – BLOCK PARTY, a fun and competitive sand volleyball tournament for all ages! Grab your friends, create a team, and compete for bragging rights while enjoying a great day in the sand. Teams consist of 6–10 players
Location: The Strand in Lewisville 2pm-7:30pm
3 Divisions: Mini (4th-5th graders) Middle School (6th-8th graders) High School/Adult
Registration Cost $25 per player (includes tournament entry and a tournament t-shirt) High School Teams: Must have a team captain and no more than 2 GCISD volleyball players per team Middle School Teams: No more than 3 GCISD volleyball players per team
Teams can be all girls, all boys, or mixed 6 players on the court at a time
MS and Mini Teams: Must have a parent volunteer present during play Each court will have a GVB Work Team Present for all matches Game Format Pool & Bracket Play: 1 game to 15 *do not have to win by 2
HS and Adult Teams: Must have a team captain Each team will be assigned as a WORK TEAM (Ref, score flip, lines) Game Format Pool & Bracket Play: 1 game to 21 *do not have to win by 2
Bracket Play Info 1st & 2nd Place teams from each pool qualify for the Gold Bracket. 3rd & 4th Place teams will qualify for the Silver Bracket. Pool standings will be determined by 1) match record; 2) overall point differential. This is a single-elimination bracket. Teams are eliminated once they lose in bracket play.
Waiver Requirement All participants under 18 must have a parent/guardian signed waiver to participate. Waiver forms will be emailed to parents for completion prior to the event.
Team Names & Shirts Teams are encouraged to create fun team names and shirts, but all designs must be school-appropriate. If a shirt is deemed inappropriate on tournament day, teams will be required to turn shirts inside out or may be disqualified without a refund. Unsure about your design?
